Hi everyone! I’m Jessica and I blog over at Four Generations One Roof and I’m so happy to be here today sharing a slew of pretty fall spaces. I have lived in New England my entire life and fall is absolutely beautiful here. The colorful leaves, abundance of apple orchids and crisp mornings are something to be treasured for sure. Whether you are incorporating fall items you already own, purchasing inexpensive fall decor or bringing the outdoors in, these ideas are sure to inspire your inner creativity.
Fall decorating doesn’t need to be elaborate. This pretty space below dictates simplicity by using fresh flowers, greens and branches from outside. The casual burlap table runner ties everything in nicely.
I love how Melissa used fresh greens and lavender to add a hint of fall in her kitchen. So pretty!
Laura created this fabulous vintage door vignette on a blank wall in her festive dining space. The simple white pumpkin and small dish filled with herbs are perfect for this space.
In our family room below, I incorporated the traditional orange and brown fall colors via pillows and a throw. Sunflowers are also a great seasonal flower which look fabulous just about anywhere.
A pretty tray holding white pumpkins along with bunches of dried fall leaves on the table pair nicely in this farmhouse kitchen.
An easy way to add a subtle hint of fall is to swap out your lamp shade for a neutral shade as shown below. The dried fall leaves from outdoors along with the textured linen shade add just enough to say, “fall!”
Do you have a small entry? Try adding a basket filled with apples and fresh greens from outside. This clever idea is simple and inexpensive.
Adding a plaid brown blanket to your bed is a great way to introduce fall to your bedroom. Looks like a cozy place to cuddle up with a book!
We added pumpkins and dried oak leaves to our dining room table this year and I must say, I love the simple look. We use our dining room to eat, do homework and play games so minimal decor for us is best. It doesn’t take up much room and it’s easy to move!
Living with four generations under one roof tends to get complicated sometimes when we decorate so my mom and I usually decorate together, although this year for fall it was just me. She is away on a tour with my dad of the mid-west and gone for a few weeks. I think she will be thrilled when she gets home and everything is decorated. Don’t worry, I did leave a few rooms for her to get her “fall on” when she gets home ;). Now it’s time for you get busy and create your own pretty fall spaces. Be sure to come back and tell us how you incorporated fall in your own home!
