You might not think of mid-January as the ideal time for a music festival in Chicago but ever-popular local venues Lincoln Hall and Schubas Tavern continue to prove that notion wrong. The venues’ co-owners team up for Tomorrow Never Knows, one of the Midwest’s best loved indie music fests. This year the festival returns with shows across the city (not just limited to Lincoln Hall and Schubas) next week from January 15-19.
You have your pick of more than twenty concerts to attend (or buy a five-day pass and hit them all up), but here are five that we highly recommend. All shows fan fans 18 and older and start at 9 p.m. Tickets are $15 unless otherwise noted.
