Don't be a Tool: Get Set for Father's Day

Sunday is Father’s Day. Dads are those great guys who get the bugs out of the house, change the hard-to-reach light bulbs and grease the squeaky doors. They are our home improvement guys, and they should be appreciated for all they do.
So? Did you get a gift yet for Dad?
Maybe he wants a new tool set or a hammock for the backyard. Is he a grill master? New barbecue tools or even a new shiny grill will make his day.
I found a couple of coupons for home improvement stores that might peak your interest.
At Lowe’s, when you submit your e-mail address, you’ll receive a 10 percent off coupon on all Lowe’s purchases up to $5,000.
You can get a 10 percent off coupon at Home Depot as well when you sign up for the Home Depot Movers newsletter. The coupon has a maximum discount of $200 and is good through September 1.
OK, so both coupons are associated with moving, but I don’t think either company will mind you using it to shop at their stores even if you aren’t moving.
Here are some other Dad-themed events for Father’s Day weekend around the Chicago area.

*Michael’s Arts and Crafts: Come to any Michael’s from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 19 to make and take a free Father’s Day Card.
