Chicago real estate ranks for professionalsGreat news for Chicago residents: a new study from Forbes places Chicago as one of the best places for young professionals. Chicago came in at number four on the list, tied with Washington D.C. and San Diego, Calif. in a study compiled by CareerBliss.com.
The study on Forbes.com was based on analysis from more than 45,000 employee generated reviews between 2012 and 2013. Young professionals, defined by CareerBliss as employees with less than 10 years of experience in a full-time position, were asked to rate 10 key factors that affect workplace happiness. These factors had things that are on the mind of everyday career-minded workers, including work-life balance, one’s relationship with the boss and co-workers, the work environment, job resources, compensation, growth opportunities, company culture, company reputation, daily tasks and job autonomy. Chicago had a bliss score of 3.85, placing above Riverside, Calif., Philadelphia, Pa., Houston, Texas, Phoenix, Ariz. and Boston, Mass. on the list.
In addition to this high ranking in satisfaction, Chicago has a number of programs a wealth of homes that can appeal to young professionals and first-time homebuyers.
