Come out to Ivy Tech Community College in Valparaiso, Indiana November 7th and 8th to learn about opportunities in green practices and products.   Hosted by the Porter County Builder’s Association, the Living Green Expo 2009 will feature the Editorial Director of Green Builder Magazine, Ron Jones a designer, builder, author and sustainable building pioneer.   Also presenting will be Robert Geswein, Energy Efficiency Resource for Harrison REMC and GRI designation instructor for Indiana REALTORS ® Association’s Graduate REALTOR Institute.
The purpose of the event is to educate Northwest Indiana about incorporating state-of-the-art green technology, energy savings, cost savings and environmentally-friendly concepts into homes and neighborhoods. Friday, November 6 is devoted to student education and Saturday and Sunday, the Expo is open to the public.
The Living Green Expo 2009 will feature educational seminars providing green information and booths showcasing green products. Education includes: simple ideas anyone can implement now; making your own home more energy efficient; green building technology; smart, green sustainable products and services; and government and utility company incentive programs.
